Welcome to the Sammie Young Reader's Club!  An online reading club for African American children and children of African decent.  Yet, we welcome all children to join and read!  Membership is FREE!

The purpose of the Sammie Young Reader's Club is to:

  • Motivate children ages 4 to 18 to read...more

  • Discover books considered Afrocentric, written by and/or about African or African American culture

  • Encourage the growth of a literate society

We look forward to working with schools, homeschoolers and  support groups, inner-city libraries and other community organizations in creating a great online club!
